Closing exhibition in Zalaegerszeg

On November 24, 2017 in the halls of The Town Concert and Exhibition Hall in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary, the exhibition of the 9th International Artistic Linen Biennale "Z krosna do Krosna" was ceremonially opened. The opening was honoured by presence of representatives of the city authorities, the Göcseji Múzeum, the hosts of the exhibition - Városi Hangverseny és Kiállítóterem, as well as the friends of the Museum of Crafts in Krosno (f.e. János Németh - Hungarian sculptor and ceramist).

The mayor of the city – Balaicz Zoltán, the director of Göcseji Múzeum – Kaján Imre and the director of the Museum of Crafts in Krosno – Ewa Mańkowska opened the exhibition. The exhibition reflected not only the tradition of cooperation and Polish-Hungarian friendship between both museums and partner cities, but also the importance of presenting contemporary art in the field of artistic linen fabric. It has become an unspoken tradition that the closing exhibition in Hungary officially ends each edition of the Biennial. A beautiful interior of the synagogue in Zalaegerszeg, highlighted the beauty of the presented works and gathered a large group of admirers of artistic linen fabric. The guests also included Steier Györgyi - the artist who represented Zalaegerszeg in the 9th International Artistic Linen Biennale "Z krosna do Krosna".
