Biography: Urszula Wolska works with book art, textiles and painting. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers and the Polish Association of Art Education. She has participated in many exhibitions, including the 7th International Painting and Unique Textile Biennial in Gdynia, Poland (2013); the Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textiles at the International Triennial of Tapestry in Łódź, Poland (2013); the “Correspondence” 9th International Festival of Book Art (2012 and 2014); the “Czas” 8th International Book Art Festival (2006, 2008); the “Z krosna do Krosna” 8th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland (2006, 2008 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016). Urszula’s awards, distinctions and decorations include the Interdisciplinary Art Competition of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship – “Early Spring 38” in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions Gallery in Kielce, Poland – Honourable Mention (2015); and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship in 2007. In 2012 she has founded the “Domek Tkaczki” private museum of the old-time village in Bliżyn, Poland. In 2014 the museum has been awarded by the National Heritage Board of Poland for organising 22nd European Heritage Days in the Świętokrzyskie region.
