Tamara Maj works in painting, fabric and wicker. He belongs to the Association of Polish Artists and designers and the Polish Association of Art Education. She has presented her works at 72 individual exhibitions. She has participated in over 300 competitions, collective/group and post-open-air exhibitions in Poland and abroad (e.g. USA, Italy, Belgium, Ireland, Norway, the Crimea, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia). Tamara Maj has taken part in 36 painting and wicker-weaving plein-airs and in several dozen charity auctions. She is the winner of many awards and distinctions, including: Konkurs Plastyczny “Przedwiośnie”, BWA in Kielce – Awards (2005, 2009, 2015, 2021); 9. International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial “Z krosna do Krosna”, Museum of Crafts in Krosno – Award of the AKAPI Foundation (2016); I Przegląd Sztuki Współczesnej “Nowa Awangarda”,“Szyb Wilson” Gallery, Katowice – Award (2017); Art Competition “KOLAŻ – ASAMBLAŻ”, BWA in Olkusz – Awarded Mention (2020). In 2019 she received the honorary title “Buskowianin Roku” with the statuette and the Award “Świętokrzyska Nagroda Kultury” in recognition of her achievements enriching the cultural heritage of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Her works can be found in state collections (BWA in Kielce, BWA in Rzeszów, Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Centrum Wikliniarstwa in Rudnik nad Sanem, NOMUS New Art Museum – Branch of the National Museum in Gdańsk) and in many private collections in Poland and abroad.
