He was born in Ustí on Labem (Czech Republic). From 1964 to 1970 he studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague. He has been a founder and headmaster of the Studio of Natural Material since 1975. The artist practises graphic art, unique decorative textile and jewellery.
