Marzena Fiszczyk was born in 1970 in Krzeszowice near Cracow, Poland. She graduated from the Secondary School of Fine Arts Complex in Tarnów, Poland and from the Artistic Education Institute of the Pedagogical Academy in Cracow with a degree in Painting under the tuition of prof. Grażyna Borowik-Pieniak. Since 1992 she has worked as an artistic weaving teacher in the Secondary School of Fine Arts Complex in Tarnów. She works with painting, artistic textile and satiric drawings. Marzena has participted in many exhibitions, including: the “Święta, święta i ...” exhibition in the Caricatures Museum in Warsaw, Poland, in 1997; the SATYRYKON International Exhibition in Legnica, Poland, in 1997; the ZNP Lesser Poland District Management Chairman Prize (2002) at the Exhibition of Teachers’ Artworks in the Cultural Centre in Tarnów in 1998, 2000 and 2002; the 1st International Teachers’ Artworks Biennial in Cultural Centre in Tarnów in 1999 and 2001; the “Tarnowski Salon Zimowy” exhibition in the Gallery of the City of Tarnów in 2000; the Zemun International Salon of Caricature in Zemun, Yugoslavia (currently Serbia) in 2000; the “Tarnowskie klimaty” exhibition in the scope of the 1st All Arts Triennial in Tarnów in the Gallery of the City of Tarnów and the Cultural Centre in Tarnów in 2001; the “Z krosna do Krosna” Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial held by the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland, in 2002, 2004 and 2006 – distinction in 2004; the SATYRYKON 2003 International Exhibition in the Copper Museum in Legnica; the 6th International Triennial of Miniature Textiles in the Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Poland in 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2013; and the “Artyści pedagodzy” exhibition in Rzeszów, Poland in 2013.
