Biography:

Elżbieta Kędzia was born in Łódź, Poland in 1952. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź under the tuition of Prof. Antoni Starczewski in the Studio of Gobelin Tapestry and Carpet. She is a full professor of her home university. Elżbieta also runs a Decorative Textile Studio and her lifework comprises many Gobelin tapestry artworks and jacquard artworks. She has held 15 solo exhibitions and has taken part in many group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her artworks can be found in the National Museum in Poznań, Poland, the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź and in private collections in Poland and abroad.
