Ewa Labrzycka was born in Poznań, Poland in 1965. She graduated from the Higher State School of Applied Arts in Poznań with a degree in Artistic Textiles at the Studio of Gobelin Tapestry and Spatial Fabric under the tuition of prof. Urszula Plewka Szmidt. She has participated in many exhibitions, including: the “Teatr 8-lecie Scholi Posnaniensis” exhibition in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions in Tarnów, Poland in 2000; the X-lecie Pracowni Gobelinu i Tkaniny Przestrzennej WSSS exhibition in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2002; the exhibition in the National Museum in Poznań in the Royal Castle in Poznań, Poland in 2002; the “Czwarta Dekada Kierunki – Tendencje” exhibition of Polish Contemporary Textile in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2003; the “Najlepszy Dyplom Ukończenia Studiów w Zakresie Sztuk Pięknych i Projektowych” President of Poland Competition in the Museum of Posters in Wilanów, Poland in 2004; the 10th Polish National Exhibition of Unique Textile in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2007; the “Cierpienie” exhibition in the City Museum of Luboń, “Na Regale” Gallery in Luboń, Poland in 2007; the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial held by the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland in 2008, 2010 and 2012.
