Biography:

Katarzyna Podpora was born in 1987 and works and lives in Gdańsk, Poland. She graduated from the Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk with a degree in the Studio of Prof. Katarzyna Józefowicz in 2011. Currently she continues her study as a postgraduate of her home university. She is interested in the phenomenon of materiality of writing and scripts as well as the meaning of its multidimensional structure. She delivers a cycle of lectures during which she tries to explain the meaning of materials. She has participated in organizing numerous international artistic projects and events. Since 2001 Katarzyna cooperated with institutions such as: the National Baltic Opera House in Gdańsk, Poland; the Archipelag Kultury in Gdańsk and the ”Zatoka Sztuki” Art & Business Centre in Sopot, Poland.
