Biography:

Teresa Rucińska graduated with honours from the Academy of fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland, in 1992. She has participated in many exhibitions, including: the “Tkanina” exhibition in the Gallery of the President of Warsaw in 1994; distinction at the “Sacrum’96” 7^th Sacral Art Biennial in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland in 1996; the “Turbo'9” exhibition in the Gallery of the City of Wrocław in 1998; 1^st Prize at the “Tkanina inspirowana twórczością Moniuszki” exhibition in the Museum of Independence in Warsaw in 2002; the “Czas” International Festival of Book Art in Łódź in 2007; distinction at the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial held by the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland in 2008; 11^th Polish National Exhibition of Unique Textiles in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Poland, in 2010; the “Materiał, Medium, Metafora” Festival of Textile Art in Ostrołęka Gallery in Ostrołęka, Poland, in 2010; 2^nd Prize at the 7^th “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno in 2012; nomination for the Prize at the 10^th Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textiles in 2013; and 12^th Polish National Exhibition of Unique Textiles in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2013.
