Joanna graduated with honours from the Faculty of Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1978. From 1980 to 1983 she attended the Łódź Film School. She works with artistic textile, graphics, painting, and designs costumes. She has participated in exhibitions such as: the “Diploma ‘78” in the Zachęta Central Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions in Warsaw, Poland in 1978; the 7th Biennial Internacional del Deporte en las Bellas Artes in Barcelona, Spain in 1979; the “Drawings and Comments” group exhibition of Polish contemporary drawings at the Jacek Malczewski Museum in Radom, Poland in 1980; the “Contemporary Polish Book Art” exhibition in the House of Visual Artists Gallery in Warsaw, Poland in 1997 and 1998; 2nd Prize at the “Easter 2000” Association of Polish Artists and Designers Competition – District of Warsaw – in 2000; the “Textile Art” exhibition in the House of Visual Artists Gallery in Warsaw in 2004 and 2016; the “Small Weaving Forms” exhibition in Warsaw in 2007; the “Abstraction” exhibition in House of Visual Artists Gallery in Warsaw in 2013; the “Warsaw Studio of Small Weaving Forms” in the House of Visual Artists Gallery 3 in Warsaw in 2014; 2nd Prize at the “MUSE Art Contest 2015 – Magdalena Abakanowicz” in Warsaw in 2015 and the exhibition of the works awarded in this contest in Warsaw in 2016.
