Biography:
Katarzyna Mądrzycka-Adamczyk graduated with honours from the Faculty of Textile and Clothing of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland in 2006. Broadly defined artistic textile is explored by her in many different ways, also by creating small and big weaving forms, as well as using different techniques. She likes to use found objects in her works. She founds titles an integral part of her works, enabling to enrich the artwork and express everything that was not expressed by the form itself. She has participated in several dozen exhibitions, including: the 9th Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textile in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2010; the Polish National Exhibition of the Unique Textiles in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2013 and 2016; the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial held by the Museum of Crafts in Krosno – the exhibition premiere in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions in Krosno and travelling exhibitions in the Šarišská Galéria in Prešov, Slovakia in 2013 and 2015; the Slovak National Museum – Múzeum ukrajinskej kultúry in Svidník, Slovakia in 2013 and 2015; the Göcseji Museum of Zalaegerszeg, Hungary in 2013 and 2015; and the 7th International Painting and Unique Textile Biennial in Gdynia, Poland in 2013. Her works can be found in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, and in private collections in Poland and abroad.
